It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Hila’s beloved husband, Dov, on Saturday, June 21st, after a courageous battle with glioblastoma. In his final moments, he was surrounded by his loving family and at peace. Our hearts and prayers are with the entire Gilberd family—Hila and their beautiful boys, Perry, Liam, and Roey.

Anyone who knows Hila can speak to her extraordinary strength, resilience, and compassion. For the past 22 months, she has not only cared for her husband during his illness but has also continued to support her children and care for her patients, who admire and adore her. Despite carrying an unimaginable emotional burden, Hila has consistently shown up for others—offering care, comfort, and kindness without ever asking for anything in return. Even in her darkest moments, she has managed to find a reason to smile and lift the spirits of those around her.

Hila is the very definition of selflessness. Now, it is our turn to show up for her.

This GoFundMe has been created to support Hila and her family as they navigate this tremendously heartbreaking loss. As the sole provider for her family, Hila now faces not only emotional loss but also the financial stress of funeral costs, medical bills, and daily living expenses.
