Dear friends, family, and community,

Our hearts are completely broken by the sudden and devastating loss of Ethan Gailey on August 29. As you can imagine his parents, Mark and Holly are going through the unimaginable. No parent is ever prepared to say goodbye to one of their children. It’s just not supposed to be this way.

Ethan was a good one. If you were lucky enough to know him then you loved him. You just couldn’t help it. He had an infectious personality and a grin that would instantly put a smile on your face. He loved soccer and played for Harpeth High School, played rec soccer then went on to earn a scholarship playing for Cumberland University. He loved being on the water jet skiing, getting muddy in a field on a 4 wheeler, and naps. He loved a good nap and could lay over and nap anywhere at any moment. He loved his family, he loved his friends, but more than anything though, he loved a girl, Lily.

Ethan is loved and missed by so many people. As we all navigate this profound grief, we want to love on the Gailey family and help alleviate some of the financial burden of everyday expenses so that they can not focus on work responsibilities but on each other, on how to move forward in a world without their Ethan.

The Gailey family are beyond grateful for the overwhelming love and support that everyone is showing them. They ask that you all continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers and that you continue to keep Ethan’s memory alive. Talk about him, post the pictures, share the memories. They know so many of his friends are hurting too so reach out, love and support each other.

Please Love the Gailey family in any way that your heart leads you to do so. So many of you have reached out asking how to support Ethan’s family and this is just one way to do so.
