It was an ordinary Thursday for the French family. The moms, Kati and Tara, went to work, and the daughters, Oaklyn and Aurora, went to daycare.

Oaklyn has dance class on Thursday afternoon, and due to the unseasonably cold temperatures, the whole family came along. We are so thankful for that miracle.

While the grown-ups were waiting for dance class to conclude, Kati received a notification on her phone about a house fire near her street. As more information came in, it was clear that it was THEIR house that was on fire.

Not knowing what to expect, Kati and Tara went to the house. It was there they learned the fire was on the second floor and in the attic. It took four local fire departments to extinguish the fire. Nearly all their material possessions are destroyed due to smoke and water damage.

We all want to help the French Family get back to the life they know and love, but it’s going to take a village!
