We are raising funds to support the family of Wendy Sangster, a much-loved mum and carer who tragically passed away on 10 December. With her husband Colin recovering from major spinal surgery and 11-year-old Nadine facing Christmas without her mum, the family urgently needs help with funeral and living costs.

About Wendy
Wendy Sangster, aged 54, was originally from Scotland. Wendy moved down to Holbeach and met her husband Colin, and together they had their daughter Nadine, now 11.
Nadine is well known locally — she attended William Stukeley Primary School in Holbeach and is now in her first year at UAH Secondary School.
Wendy worked as a Carer at Ashridge Nursing Home in Boston, where she was known for her kindness, warmth and dedication.

What Happened
Over recent weeks, Wendy had been feeling unwell. She attended Pilgrim Hospital, where she was kept overnight in a chair in the corridor, before being told she had a heavy dose of flu and an overactive thyroid and was then sent home.
At the same time, her husband Colin — who works at Mercedes-Benz in Sutterton — had recently undergone major spinal surgery and is currently receiving SSP. Wendy was the main earner for the family.
On Wednesday (10 December), Wendy became seriously unwell. An ambulance arrived at 3am, and she was in heart failure, and needed urgent surgery, but tragically, Wendy passed away before this happened.

Why We Are Asking for Help
This family is now facing heartbreaking loss and financial hardship all at once. With Colin unable to work and the sudden passing of Wendy, the costs of a funeral — along with everyday living expenses — have become overwhelming.
