Our hearts are broken. On Tuesday, March 24th, our dear friend Tijo Jose was tragically taken from us in a car accident on Huntly-Fosterville Rd, just six minutes away from his workplace. He was only 34 years old.

Tijo was a devoted husband to Anju Thomas and a doting father to their one-month-old son.

A Life of Service

Tijo was a man who lived to help others. He was known for being incredibly "down-to-earth," and his charming smile left a lasting mark on everyone he met. He spent recent years working tirelessly in the disability sector, where he was deeply loved by his clients for his kindness and dedication to their care.

After years of hard work, Tijo and Anju finally celebrated receiving their Permanent Residency last year. They were standing on the threshold of a bright future with their newborn baby, planning for a new life together—a dream that has been shattered in an instant.

How You Can Help

With Anju currently on maternity leave and the family having lost their primary provider, the financial burden is overwhelming. We are raising urgent funds to assist with:

Repatriating Tijo to Kerala, India, so he can be laid to rest in his homeland.

Travel costs for Anju, their newborn, and family members to accompany him.

Immediate living expenses (rent, bills, and baby essentials) for a period of time to provide a safety net for Anju and her son as they grieve.

Tijo spent his life caring for the vulnerable. Now, we ask our community to care for his wife and son. Every donation, no matter how small, offers a lifeline to this young family in their darkest hour.
