Hello everyone,

My name is Renea Oglesbee Rayborn and I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my childhood friend Tammy Robinson Chambers and her family. My heart is broken as I share that she was taken from us in a tragic and senseless act of violence. All week many of her other high school friends and I have communicated, and we just haven’t been able to wrap our heads around this. It’s just hard to accept that she is gone.

I have known Tammy for most of my life. From childhood to adulthood, she remained one of the most caring, giving, and selfless people you could ever meet. Just like her parents, Tammy would’ve literally given you the shirt off her back. She devoted her entire career to helping others—as a mental health therapist and alcohol/drug counselor, she poured her heart into supporting people who were struggling, hurting, or overlooked. She truly was a champion for the disadvantaged, always fighting for those who had no one else in their corner. If you didn’t know her personally, all you have to do is read the Facebook comments to see that.

Outside of her work, Tammy was a great mother, devoted wife, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, coworker, loyal friend, and the sweetest dog mom. She made every room brighter, every person feel seen, and every moment feel lighter. To know her was to love her.

Her sudden passing has left her family with overwhelming emotional burdens. While we usually recognize those burdens we don’t always think of the sudden and immediate financial needs when something so unexpected happens. Her husband, Mark, is currently not able to return to work due to orthopedic surgery. He anticipates his return to be the first of January. Like most of us these days, Tammy and Mark’s household was a two-household income, and the sudden loss of a big portion of that income, coupled with Mark’s recent surgery, will make it even more difficult to manage funeral expenses (both in Florida and her hometown of Columbia, MS) and basic household needs during this painful time.

I am asking for the support to help this family navigate the heavy days ahead. Donations will go directly toward:

- Funeral and burial expenses

- Household bills and essential needs while her husband, Mark, is unable to return to work

- Immediate support for Mark and Connor as they grieve and rebuild
