Support for the Family of Rosy — A Devoted Teacher and Woman

My name is Laura Moynihan. In just one week, our family has experienced the heartbreaking loss of two loved ones. The most recent loss is my beloved godmother, Rosy — one of my father’s younger sisters.

Our Aunt Rosy was a pillar in our family — a woman of immense faith, love, and generosity. She was also a cornerstone of her church and her community in Múzquiz, Coahuila. As an elementary school teacher at José María Morelos, she touched countless lives with her kindness, patience, and deep love for her students. She truly had the patience of a saint and the heart of a servant.

Aunt Rosy was there for me at my birth, and she stood by my side when I lost my father. To say she was deeply loved would be an understatement — by our family, her church, her students, and her entire community.

In her later years, after retiring, Aunt Rosy finally had the chance to travel — something she loved dearly. Sadly, this was also when her health began to decline. She was initially diagnosed with cancer, and as her immune system weakened, complications multiplied. Her children made the difficult decision to transfer her to a private hospital due to inadequate care elsewhere. This has placed a tremendous financial burden on them, and now, on top of everything, they must also face the costs of her funeral.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, her children, and her grandchildren — all grieving and overwhelmed.
