Fundraising for the family of Rose Kelly

On 5 December, Rose Kelly was travelling to work on the Nepean Highway when another driver crossed the highway, driving the wrong way. Rose died at the scene, leaving behind her husband and 10 year old son.
Rose's entire life had been dedicated to the education of young children. She was the director of Windsor Community Children's Centre (WCCC), one of the leading early childhood educational institutions in Melbourne. She built a community around the centre and beyond education, Rose served as a counsellor and confidante for many families. She was also greatly loved by her team of educators, in addition to being well regarded across the early childhood sector as a leader in her field. In October 2019, Rose's contribution to the early childhood sector was formally recognised when she was selected as a finalist for a Department of Education award for educational leadership.
Unfortunately Rose's passing places undue pressure on her beloved husband. As Rose was the primary income earner for her family, Rose's husband now faces additional financial pressures beyond the obvious emotional challenges.
On behalf of Rose's family, the WCCC community are raising funds to provide Rose's husband with the time and ability to continue caring for their son without the added pressure of having to make long-term decisions about their future and to ensure that all of Rose's son's needs are met.
