The loss of Ray Wishropp, after the tragic events of April 20th, is one that will leave a huge void for everyone who knew him. He was a member of the Local 338 and Stop & Shop family for over 30 years. In the days since he passed, we’ve heard many memories of Ray from Local 338 staff, current and former, as well as his coworkers. These stories all share the same theme - he was a great guy, he was always helpful, he will be missed. 

The last year has been an incredibly difficult year for all essential workers, including those working at this Stop & Shop, as they continued to go to work every day so the rest of us had some sense of “normalcy” during an incredibly stressful and traumatic time. Ray was one of these essential workers - dedicated to his community and customers. 

This fund will serve as a memorial for Ray and provide some support for his beloved family during an incredibly difficult time. We send our deepest condolences and love to Ray’s family and friends.
