Support for the Family of Michael "Micky" Tate

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Michael “Micky” Tate – a devoted husband, loving father, beloved brother and son, and loyal friend to so many.

Micky was one of those rare people who could walk into any room and talk to anyone with ease. He had a natural way with others – warm, approachable, and genuinely interested in everyone he met. He was always ready with a smile or a joke, he had a gift for making people feel welcome and valued. Whether you'd known him for years or just five minutes, Micky made you feel like an old friend. He was a hard worker, a devoted family man, and someone who always made time for others. He was always the first to lend a hand. His warmth, kindness, humour and loyalty left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege to know him.

He leaves behind his adoring wife, Polly, and their two beautiful children – Lexi (5.5yrs old) and Séamus (2.5yrs old). They were at the heart of his world. He was a loving, hands-on dad who adored his kids and his wife Polly, who was his biggest supporter and source of strength in life. Micky loved nothing more than spending time with his family and was always striving to provide the best life possible for them. His family was his pride and joy.

Over the past year, Micky faced a private and courageous battle with mental health challenges. Despite his struggles, he continued to show up for those around him, never losing his ability to bring light to others — even when his own felt dim. Tragically, Micky’s journey ended far too soon, leaving an unimaginable void in the hearts of all who knew him

This GoFundMe has been set up to support Polly, Lexi, and Séamie in the difficult days and years ahead. Your donations will help with immediate expenses, provide some stability during this incredibly difficult time, and support the children’s future — something Micky cared deeply about.

If you knew Micky, you knew his heart was bigger than most and that he was a very special man. Let’s honour his memory by rallying around the family he loved so deeply.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made either to this fundraiser or directly to the charity Lionheart Camp for Kids.
