I’m writing on behalf of a group of friends who are coming together to support a family we love that has just endured an unimaginable loss.

Two weeks ago, our dear friends, Angie, Dan and Kiva, experienced the sudden and tragic loss of their beloved son and brother, Kayd. His absence has left a deep void in the lives of all who knew and loved him. Kayd will be missed beyond words by his family, his friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

Kayd’s generous and giving spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His infectious smile and compassionate heart were a reflection of his values and the deep love he shared with his family. He had a way of making everyone around him feel seen, valued, and cared for, and that legacy of kindness will continue to shine through those he touched.

As Kayd’s family begins to navigate the difficult road ahead, we understand that their friends, family and community will want to help lift the family up as they grieve the loss of their child. We’re starting this campaign on their behalf to assist with funeral expenses, lost income during extended bereavement, necessary counseling, and other unexpected costs that come with a heartbreaking loss such as this.
