On February 23, 2026, the Kaminanga and Marcus family experienced every parent’s worst nightmare. Their beloved son, Kaipo, went missing at Red Cove Lake. An active search is currently underway as family, friends, volunteers, and responders work tirelessly to bring him home.

During this incredibly painful and uncertain time, the family will face expenses related to the search, recovery and any future planning that may involve travel, lodging and any services that will be needed. Divers with equipment are needed to help in the search for Kaipo and part of this fundraising will go to flying a diving team to Sand Point to continue the search.

We are coming together as a community to support the Kaminanga and Marcus family so they can focus on what matters most — being present with one another and supporting the ongoing efforts surrounding Kaipo.
