It's with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my brother Joseph Lawrence Rivera. A husband, father, son, brother, and best friend to all who knew him. Joe passed away in Raleigh, NC on Friday, July 2nd, 2021, at Wake Med Hospital from liver and kidney failure illness. Joe had a heart of gold, the best listener, his willingness to put others needs before his own made him the outstanding man he will forever be known for.

We are absolutely devastated by Joe’s passing and are struggling to cover the cost of the service and other funeral expenses. Joe is survived by his parents Evelyn and William Rivera Sr. He also leaves behind his wife, Jessica Rivera and three young children, Jayron (13), Joseph Jr. (8), and Jazlynn (7). He was the youngest of his brothers, Bobby Bradford and William Rivera II and sister Latiara Laird. Please keep them and the entire family in your constant prayers as they grieve the loss of Joe.
