Support for the family of Joannah Stutchbury

This GoFundMe is for the family of Joannah Stutchbury to help support them financially during this heartbreaking time of grief. There is so little that most of us can do to change anything about this tragic situation, but we can at least come together to help relieve their family of the financial burden during this heartbreaking time.

Joannah was a loving mother and friend to many. She dedicated her life to the preservation of the forest that she called home, where she raised her children, cared for her aging father, and built a house out of the earth itself. Her sense of humor will be missed by many, as well as the incredible warmth that lived within her. Joannah's bold and vivacious spirit, and her deep love of what is good and true and wild and green will be remembered always. A heart as big as she had couldn’t help but be constantly broken by the atrocities committed against the wild and beautiful lands and creatures of Kenya, where she was born and raised. Many would not have doubted for a moment that she would die to protect that beloved forest she called home, though we wish so very much that it had not come to that.

Whether you know Joannah and her family personally, or are contributing to this cause to show support of the work Joannah did and believed in, your donation is very much appreciated and will go directly to her family. This fundraising goal was made to include any currently unforeseen expenses as well, but anything in excess of what the family needs will be donated to a Kenyan environmental cause that the family will decide upon at a later time.
