Support for the family of Alejandro Rios

Donation protected
We were saddened to learn of the recent passing of Alejandro Rios, who came to Nova Scotia as a migrant worker from Mexico. Alejandro died of a heart attack on May 3rd, 2023. He had been coming on the Seasonal Agricultural Workers Program for approximately 9 years.

He is described by his wife as being a protective, loving, happy and responsible person. He was also a caring person who helped people in his community.

Alejandro was the main breadwinner of his family. He leaves behind his wife and three children, the youngest being 1 year and 3 months. Funds raised will go to support his family.

Mexican and Canadian authorities, and his employer are currently working on repatriating his body back to Mexico.
