Support for the Engler Family
Adam Engler died suddenly of a heart attack on Wednesday, June 30th, 2021, while traveling for work. His wife, Stephanie, and their four children, William, Sybella, Jackson, and Addison, are shocked and grieving, wondering how to go on without the husband and father that they loved so very much. We are fundraising for Adam’s memorial celebration and family expenses for Stephanie and the children.
As we mourn and make plans to celebrate his life, we are encouraged by the support and generosity from Adam’s community of family, friends, and co-workers. Adam left an impression of laughter and joy on everyone he met; the common thread among condolences is that Adam will be remembered for his humor, laughter, and entertaining stories, as well as his welcoming nature and compassion. He will be missed every moment and we honor his generous heart.
Stephanie and Adam met in kindergarten, where they held hands in church and began the first phase of their love story. But Stephanie’s family moved away and they lost touch. In college, a chance meeting jump-started phase two, where they became engaged, married, and grew a family with four amazing children.
Adam gave everything he had to his wife and kids; he loved generously and creatively, and his death leaves an immeasurably deep void. Adam and his oldest son, William, 17, golfed together every couple of days, sharing life and planning for college. His daughter, Sybella, 13, will miss their father-daughter dates and driving together around the state for volleyball tournaments. Adam loved cheering for Jackson, 11, at football, basketball, and golf and was amazed by his son’s growing talents in everything he put his mind to. Addison is 8 and already misses her daddy’s hugs, smiles, and laughter.
Now, phase three of their story begins. Stephanie and the children carry Adam’s legacy forward; his memories, stories, and lessons of love, forgiveness, faith, and hope live on through them.
