Support for The Ells Family

The Ells Family is the most faithful, God loving , caring and giving family you could ever meet.  They have been put through more than any family should ever have to go through. They never ask for anything from anyone and continue not to.  It is time though that we rally together to wrap around them and support them even without them asking.  

After giving birth to Greyson in October, Kelli was still experiencing back pain and did not feel well.  After ruling some other things out, her doctor sent her for scans.  After a week of scans and bloodwork, it was revealed that she has Stage 4 Melanoma Cancer that has resulted in tumors on her liver, kidney, pancreas, both lungs and brain.  

Starting December 9, Kelli will begin immunotherapy treatment and she will also later have a round of radiation.  She has a big fight ahead of her, but her wonderful doctors have created a plan to defeat the cancer and kill the tumors - so along with the treatment plan their faith in God they are positive and hopeful! 

Kelli will have to take time off from work for treatment, but unfortunately due to just having a third baby in the matter of four years, she has depleted all of her sick time. That means she will have to take some time off with reduced pay or without pay.   Nick will also need to take some time off to be there to help Kelli throughout it all. Both employers have been graciously supportive!  **UPDATE** Kelli just found out that because she was just out on maternity leave that will now count for the 30 days she would typically have to go before being allowed to use time in the sick bank.  So, she is currently covered fully through the sick bank until February 17th.  This is GREAT news!  Thank you so so much to all who have reached out about how to donate days.  We will let you know if the need comes back up in the future. <3

Although prayers for healing are their number one and only request, I know that their loving community wants to step in and financially support them too. All money donated will go towards the family for medical bills and to cover lost pay during time off from work- and then anything after that we hope they use to take care of themselves and the kids, and pamper Kelli whenever possible.   Let's show them our love and do what we can so all of their thoughts and energy can focus on Kelli kicking cancer's butt!
