On November 6th, the DuVall family experienced a devastating house fire that destroyed the entire upstairs of their home. Everything in that space was lost, including windows, doors, walls, clothing, furniture, and sentimental items. The downstairs was also heavily affected. The dining room walls and flooring were damaged, and most of the flooring throughout the first level will need to be replaced due to severe water damage from firefighting efforts.

Among the items lost were all of the clothing and cloth diapers they had saved for their baby on the way, the crib, a couch, a bed, a dresser, and nearly all of their two boys’ toys.

Jill has had to pause her small business, and Paul is taking time off from work and traveling home to support the family and navigate the long insurance process. This means they are facing both a significant loss of income and substantial out-of-pocket costs while trying to rebuild their home and replace essential items for their two boys.
