On February 27, 2026, our family experienced an unimaginable loss when my father, Gerald Dively, was taken from us in a tragic workplace accident in Hollidaysburg, PA. A sudden equipment malfunction ended his life far too soon at just 53 years old. Gerald was the heart of our family, a devoted husband of 36 years, a loving father to his children—including three bonus children through marriage of spouses—and a proud grandfather to eight beautiful grandchildren. He cared deeply for his family, his three beloved dogs, and even his fish, tending to them every day with love and dedication. Gerald was a hardworking man who helped everyone and anyone he could. He loved so much, especially when it came to fishing and camping—those were some of his greatest joys. His absence has left a space in our lives that can never truly be filled. Because his passing was so unexpected, my father did not have a life insurance policy in place. Additionally, we hope to provide some support for my mother as she faces this overwhelming transition.
