Hi everyone,

I’m creating this GoFundMe for my dad during an incredibly difficult and unexpected time for our family. He was recently admitted to Loma Linda Hospital, where we received the devastating news that he has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.

My dad has been a painter his entire life and devoted everything to building his own business from the ground up. Through decades of hard work, he created a successful small business and worked tirelessly to provide for our family. Big Bear has been home for him and my mom for 37 years, and it’s where my brothers and I were raised, making it a place deeply woven into our family’s story.

Because of this diagnosis, he is no longer able to work. The sudden loss of his ability to earn an income has been overwhelming. He has always been the sole provider for himself and my mom, Eileen, his wife and partner of 43 years. Overnight, the stability they worked so hard to build together has been turned upside down, all while they are facing the emotional and physical toll of this illness.

This fundraiser is to help cover medical expenses, living costs, and basic necessities during treatment, and to ease the financial burden during this incredibly difficult time. Our hope is to allow my dad and my mom to focus on what matters most right now—his health, his comfort, and the time they have together—without the constant worry of finances.
