In Loving Memory of Steve Davis

My name is Faye Murry, and I have been a close family friend of Steve and Lee Anna Davis for 30 years. I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of their family to help during an incredibly painful and overwhelming time.

At 9:00 a.m. on 1/14/2024, Steve Davis passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family.

Steve was an amazing husband, dad, grandad, brother, uncle, son, and friend. His family always came first. He loved people deeply and had a way of making those around him feel welcomed, valued, and cared for.

In 2014, Steve’s life changed forever when he was struck by a vehicle in a tragic accident at work. After nearly 20 months of surgeries, complications, and unimaginable suffering, he lost his leg. From that point on, he lived with chronic pain and daily challenges that most of us can’t fully comprehend. Yet through it all, Steve remained positive, kind, and full of love. He never allowed his pain to define his spirit.

In recent months, Steve had been receiving hospice care at home after bravely battling dementia, along with serious heart problems, the effects of strokes, and other health challenges. Throughout this journey, his wife Lee Anna stood faithfully by his side, caring for him with unwavering devotion, supported by their children and grandchildren who lifted one another up just as Steve would have wanted.

Steve is now at peace. No more pain. No prosthetics. No more phantom pain. He is reunited with his brother Dave, and his family takes comfort in knowing he is finally whole and free.

Right now, the Davis family is navigating profound grief while focusing on supporting Lee Anna as she begins life without her husband and best friend.

All funds raised will go toward Steve’s funeral expenses and any final expenses incurred by the family.

Funeral and service are scheduled for 1/29/26 at 2 pm at NewSpring Church in Wichita, KS.
