It is with profound sadness that we share the news of a tragic loss within our Redmond and Vern Patrick Elementary community. One of our families is facing every parents worst nightmare, as our own Ember Cuen passed away on May 23, 2026 after a tragic accident at Suttle Lake.

Ember had a spark in her that warmed and brightened your day. So much fire in such a little body.

This sudden loss has left the Cuen family with the unexpected financial burden of hospital bills and funeral arrangements while also trying to navigate the tremendous grief this tragedy brings.

Moments like this remind us how deeply connected we are as a school and as a community. Let's come together to show Andrew, Taryn, and Kori that we are all behind them and with them in their time of need and grief!
