On Tuesday, October 3rd, the Crescimanno family and pets lost their home and all of their belongings in a devastating house fire. The house is a total loss. Thankfully, Jennifer (Jen), Russell (Russ), Sebastian, and Pinky, the family dog, were uninjured and are safe. Luna, the family cat, was taken to a local veterinarian, and her condition is uncertain.

The Crescimanno family have been engaged, active members of the Crozet community for over 30 years. Jen is a Special Education Autism BASE teacher and has taught in Albemarle County Public Schools since 1991. Jen is a respected, loved, and valued Brownsville Bee, where she has been the ABASE teacher since 2015. Russ, a Sociology Professor, taught at Piedmont Virginia Community College for over 40 years. He is now professor emeritus at PVCC. Sebastian grew up here, attending Crozet Elementary, Henley Middle School, and Western Albemarle High School. He returned home after his recent graduation from JMU.

In the coming days and weeks, Jen, Russ, and Sebastian will begin the process of rebuilding and replacing. This fundraiser will assist them with that process and with any unforeseen expenses.
