On Monday afternoon, October 12, Stephen and Katie Clayton were returning to Minnesota from a visit with Katie's parents in Spearfish when a tire detached from a westbound commercial trailer, crossed the center median, and struck their van, breaking the windshield and tearing through the roof.

In this devastating accident, Stephen (31) and their three-year-old son, David, were called home to the Lord. Katie sustained severe injuries, while their 11-month-old son, John, and their unborn baby were unharmed.

Katie was airlifted to Sioux Falls and has since undergone reconstructive surgery for fractures to her jaw and face. As she faces a long road of recovery and the family begins to navigate life after this unimaginable loss, we want to come alongside them with prayer and financial support.

The funeral for Stephen and David Clayton will be held at The North Church (5151 Program Ave, Mounds View, MN 55112) on Friday, October 23. Viewing will be at 10am and the service at 11am, followed by a luncheon.
