Twins, William and Violet, came into this world much earlier than expected. Born at just 23 weeks, they face numerous health complications and require constant care in the NICU at BC Childrens Hospital. Every day is faced with uncertainty and the road home is long for both the babies and Josh & Ashley. These babies are facing many challenges, but we trust God to work and hope to share updates here as we are able. After a long road of infertility God miraculously gave Josh and Ashley both a son and a daughter. These babies are loved, longed and prayed for. Many people have asked where and how they can support Josh, Ashley and the babies during this time. This is one way. The financial burden of still having to live and pay bills should be the last thing on their minds while they walk this journey. Josh and Ashley trust God to provide, but as many people have asked, "how can I give?" A few of us thought this would be a good place to start so loved ones from near and far can support them, while unable to physically be with them.

Here is a bit of their story, written by Ashley:

On September 2nd at 2am, at 23 weeks 6 days pregnant, Ashley woke up with contractions and was taken to Kelowna General Hospital after being diagnosed with an incompetent cervix 4 weeks prior. The team at KGH were able to stop the contractions long enough for Ashley and Josh to be flown down to BC Women’s Hospital in Vancouver. There she had an emergency c-section. Their son, William Roger Clark was born at 5:11 pm, weighing 712g (1.5lbs) and their daughter, Violet Anne Louise was born at 5:15pm, weighing 604g (1.3lbs). Both babies were immediately handed to NICU teams for resuscitation and then moved to the NICU where they will be for the foreseeable future. Ashley and Josh have found housing with Ronald McDonald House as of September 22nd so they can be close to their babies, and will be off work and remaining in Vancouver until the babies are able to come back to Kelowna.
