Support for the Central High School Wrestling Program
As reported in the media, a District 51 school bus carrying Central High School wrestlers and coaches was involved in a serious two-vehicle accident in the Denver area on Saturday evening. The team was returning to their hotel after a group dinner when the crash occurred. Several students and staff were transported to the hospital. Due to privacy laws and out of respect for the families involved, we are unable to share specific information about injuries.
In response, Central High School and the CHS Wrestling Program have organized the only official fundraiser organized by the school and the wrestling program. All funds will be managed with oversight from wrestling coaches and parent representatives to ensure transparency and responsible allocation.
Your support will directly help our wrestlers, coaches, and their families with immediate and unexpected needs, including:
- Lodging and meals for families needing to remain in Denver
- Lost wages due to time away from work
- Replacement of team equipment lost or damaged in the crash
If donations exceed these needs, remaining funds will stay within the Central High School wrestling program to provide opportunities and experiences that help our athletes heal, rebuild, and move forward from this traumatic event.
Our wrestlers are resilient, but in moments like this, the strength of our community means everything. Thank you for supporting the Central Warrior Wrestling family during this difficult time.
With gratitude,
Central High School Administration, Coaches, and Parent Representatives
