On June 13th, we lost an extraordinary husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Douglas Cartelli passed away surrounded by the love of the family who meant everything to him, leaving behind a profound loss that is felt by all who knew and loved him.
Above all else, Doug was a family man. He was the devoted husband of Jacqueline (Kieft) Cartelli, with whom he shared 34 wonderful years and 27 years of marriage. Together they built a life rooted in love, loyalty, laughter, and unwavering dedication to one another. He was a proud and devoted father to Paris Cartelli, Dominic Cartelli, and Gregg Pellici, who were truly the pride and joy of his life.
Doug had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Whether you were family, a lifelong friend, or someone he had just met, he treated you like one of his own. His generosity was unmatched, and it was often said that he would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. He showed up for people without hesitation, offering support, guidance, and kindness whenever it was needed.
Doug believed in working hard, providing for his family, and helping others along the way. The relationships he built throughout his life were every bit as important to him as the work he accomplished.
Since Doug's passing, there has been an overwhelming outpouring of love and support from family, friends, and the community. While nothing can ease the heartbreak of losing him, we are creating this fundraiser to help support his family during this incredibly difficult time and to assist with the unexpected expenses that come with such a sudden loss.
Doug's legacy of hard work, generosity, laughter, and unconditional love will live on through his family and through the countless lives he touched. He was deeply loved, and he will be deeply missed.
Thank you for your love, prayers, support, and any contribution you are able to make. Most importantly, we ask that you keep Paris, Dominic, and the entire Cartelli family in your thoughts during this difficult time.
