My name is Lindsay Poveromo-Joly and I have had the immense privilege of knowing Debbie and Melissa Buehler-Ely for several years now. My children are friends with their beautiful children, Emme and Everett, and to say that their family has been the sunshine in our lives is an understatement. If you know the Buehler-Ely family, chances are you're reading this and feeling similarly.
Melissa and Debbie had spent the last 27 years together, building a beautiful life and family together. To share a room with them was to witness love in all of its glory. The twins ("E2") were loved, supported, encouraged, educated by parents that many kids could only dream of. I know I'm not alone in feeling in awe just watching the way that Melissa and Debbie parented their children, the way nurturing and love just poured from their souls so effortlessly.
Tragically, Debbie passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in late July. There aren't yet words created to express a grief this large, a loss this massive. I crumble even trying to type this, to say that Debbie is gone. It's unfathomable. The words don't make sense.
The Buehler-Ely family were in the process of moving when the world lost Debbie's bright light. Their belongings in boxes, they're currently staying with a dear friend as they try to navigate this next phase of life.
I am setting up this fundraiser to help Melissa and the twins find a new place to live, to ease the financial aspect of a burden that they do not deserve to have to carry.
Please, please consider donating what you can. The Buehler-Ely family needs us to carry them through this unthinkable and unfathomable grief.
Thank you so much for your support.
