Last weekend the Browning family was busy putting up their Christmas tree with their two beautiful little girls filled with the excitment of the season. This weekend? Those two beautiful girls are in Children's hospital fighting a horrific infection. After an exhausting week of doctor's appointments and hospital trips with no answers, Tinleigh, 3, was admitted to Children's on Thursday. She was in extreme pain and covered in blisters. Her condition was worsening by the minute. She underwent a battery of tests trying to find a diagnosis. After a few educated guesses, the doctors finally agreed that she was suffering from Staphylococcal Scalded Skin Syndrome, otherwise known as Ritter vonRitterschein disease. Treatment was started immediately.
Not to be outdone by her sister, Emree, 2, woke up Friday morning presenting with the same symptoms big sis had started with just days before. She was immediately admitted to Children's as well. Both girls are currently undergoing aggressive IV antbiotics and pain management Tinleigh seems to be improving, but sweet Emree has yet to turn the corner.
I cannot imagine what Nate and Rebecca are going through. Having to see your two beautiful babies in such agony and not being able to help. Right now Rebecca and Nate need to have their full focus on getting those two nuggets of sweetness better. I have started this fund drive to help ease the stress of the financial burden having TWO kiddos in the hospital presents. Missed work, doctors' bills, hospital bills, gas to and from the hospital, food while staying with the girls 24/7....all at Christmas!
If there is anything you may be able to contribute, no matter how small, I know the Brownings would be so appreciative. Even if financially you are unable to help, prayers for the healing of Tinleigh and Emree are just as appreciated!
I know Rebecca and Nate have touched the lives of countless kids (including my own). Just hoping we can give back some of the kindness and love they have shown.
