Support For The Breese Family

If anyone is able to help this family out it would be greatly appreciated, they are having to travel to another state, miss work, dine out, and continue to care for minor children one with special needs and medications while being there for their son…… This is the message for Jacob’s dad on what happened! 

On Monday night about 9:30 pm my son Jacob was out for a motorcycle ride with some friends on I-95 in Jacksonville Florida. He lost control of his bike sliding on gravel and hit the guardrail which caused him to flip off his bike into the roadway where a passing motorist ran over him and without stopping fleeing the scene. He sustained many serious injuries. He arrived at memorial hospital with extremely low blood pressure do to a torn femoral artery in his left leg and all the muscles of his leg exposed he went into emergency surgery to repair artery restoring blood flow to the leg and stop internal bleeding. After more scans and X-rays it was founded that both leg were broke in different places. The knee cap is also broken. His pelvic bone is broke in half. He has a badly damaged bladder and rectum. He is now on dialysis to filter the toxic potassium rapidly entering his blood stream from the broken bones. He also has a severe concussion and is staying sedated to ensure he feels as little pain as possible and doesn’t move. Jacob is on a respirator to breathe for him as his body is to damage to do it on its own at this time.

Update: Jacob has under gone multiple complex surgeries with more to come. He has since lost his right leg do to a bad infection. He is now off the respirator and now completely off dialysis and just recently had skin grafting surgery. Jacob still has a long road of recovery ahead of him. We all look forward to his home coming as we are doing everything possible to make our home handicap accessible.
