Something like this isn’t easy to write, and starting this paragraph hurts tremendously. The world lost one of the most amazing men on November 12th, 2021.

Pastor Jerry Bowen loved his family with his entire being. His wife and kids are his pride and joy, and watching him with them was a great privilege of mine. From moving his family to Michigan and starting a church that would change countless lives, to heading back to California, missions trips to coaching the school volleyball team, he wore so many hats and under each one, the same thing remained constant; his love for the Lord and that he would make an impact.

Not only was he my pastor, but my father-in-law. The loss the family feels is a torrential one. Between the heart-aching health issues they’ve faced over the years, still, nothing prepares you for this moment. The last thing I want them to worry about is the finances of honoring him in both California, and laying him to rest in Michigan.

Thank you for the well wishes. We have loved reading your stories you had with him. It brings a lot of joy and comfort, even though his absence is greatly felt.
