Support for the Boles Family

Earlier this week, the Boles family learned Nick tragically and unexpectedly passed away. An activist, a teammate, a brother, a son— Nick was many things to so many people. Which, if you know the family, is not a surprise to anyone. 

As his mother, Patty has played a million roles in thousands of lives. She is a fierce advocate, and if you’ve had a medically fragile child, a foster child, an adoptive child, or simply live in San Diego, she has touched your life for the better. Working with the Board of Supervisors, she’s pushed for policies to make our families and children safer. As a foster parent mentor, she’s guided families through trainings, placements, disruptions, reunifications, adoptions, and life in general. As the head of a non-profit, she has created a home for our community— a refuge in a sometimes tumultuous and difficult storm. 

And as a mother, Patty has been all these things and more. Her love for Nick knows no bounds, and never has. It is now our chance to show how boundless our love for her is, as well.

Patty and her family will need to travel to Arizona, where Nick was living, and all donated funds will go toward travel as well as funeral costs. Any additional funds will go toward supporting the Boles family as they learn to live in this new, harsh reality. Any unused funds will be donated to a charity that was near and dear to Nick’s heart.
