The world lost the most beautiful and incredible soul. Ariel was a mother, a wife, a daughter, an aunt, a sister, a granddaughter, an extremely talented photographer, and a friend.
In August 2017, Ariel received a health diagnosis that rocked her and her family. She was diagnosed with a rare soft tissue cancer called Epithelioid Sarcoma. Surgery was done to remove her tumor which reoccured and metastasized within a month and a half. Since then she has endured surgeries, rounds of chemo, and a great deal of pain. Ariel recently reached the point where modern medicine could no longer help her and began hospice care.
Throughout this battle, Ariel constantly kept a positive mindset, incredible strength, and unwavering faith in God. She never accepted pity for her illness and never once asked “Why me”. I remember her once telling me “It can always be worse.. there are always people that have it worse than me.” She was facing a terminal stage 4 rare aggressive cancer diagnosis and telling me things can be worse.
Ariel ended her battle with cancer on December 26th, 2018, leaving behind her loving husband Jesse and two year old daughter Aveline; along with her mother and siblings. I have created this campaign to raise funds for Jesse and Avie to be used as needed as Jesse sees fit; whether it be to aid in funeral costs or to create a savings for his sweet Avie, as he will be venturing forward as a single father.
Any donation amount is greatly appreciated and will be put to good use. If you are unable to donate please just send positive vibes and prayers to the Barnes Family at this extremely tough time.
