Lacy and her husband Juan have been building a life together for 10 years, raising six children and running their own custom apparel business, Redeemed Designs. For the past 14 years, Juan has been responsibly checking in with immigration, doing everything he was supposed to do. He has always worked hard to provide for his family, paying taxes and giving back to the community through regular volunteering and church outreach programs. Together, Lacy and Juan help lead CarePortal at their church, connecting people in need with those who can help.

Recently, their world was turned upside down when Juan was detained and is now being deported to Mexico. His absence has left Lacy and their four children at home facing an uncertain future. Not only is Lacy coping with the emotional toll of this crisis, but she is also struggling to keep their business afloat, pay mounting legal fees, and cover everyday expenses like bills and other necessities. The loss of Juan’s partnership in their business has created a significant financial strain, making it difficult for Lacy to provide for her family on her own.
