Give to the Andersons

Donation protected
Many of you know and love the Anderson family. On July 12th the Anderson’s beloved son Jaden died suddenly from an unknown heart condition.

Jaden was a cherished son, big brother, beloved uncle, friend and inspiration to many far and wide. The Anderson’s have been overwhelmed with sorrow at the loss of their dear son.

On Saturday August 4th, while visiting dear friends, Ed Anderson (Jaden’s father) was out for a walk when he experienced a horrific accident. He was stung by hornets and began to run from the nest in the ground and tripped and was launched down an eight-foot embankment landing on an angle on a tree stump. He was alone at the time of injury and knew if he stayed there he would die. He somehow summoned enough strength to drag his body up the steep ravine for over an hour passing in and out of consciousness calling for help. After quite some time, his family heard him and discovered that he was in serious shape and near death. He was airlifted by chopper to Kamloops.

Ed has suffered major internal bleeding. He has a small break in his spleen, lacerations on his liver, severed an artery and lost one of his kidneys and all this trauma caused his pancreas to be inflamed. Doctors will be monitoring Ed to see if surgery is needed for damaged organs.

The entire family is in a state of shock and overwhelmed from these 2 traumatic events.

Jaden and Ed operated an Arborist business in Kelowna - Aloha Tree Service - and these two horrific tragedies will significantly impact the Anderson’s income and create many unexpected costs.

Ruth and Ed are known to be some of the most generous and giving people. When we heard of this second tragedy, we decided that it was time to say: Enough is enough!

We cannot bring Jaden back and we cannot make Ed well, but we CAN help in a tangible way. The last thing this family needs right now, is more financial pressure.

We invite you to give a financial donation towards living and medical expenses, as Ed will be off work for a number of months. Please consider giving to support this family in a practical way during this great time of need.
