Support for the Allende family

***SCROLL DOWN FOR UPDATES***

The Allende family welcomed their 4th child, 2lb baby Delilah via emergency c-section at 35 weeks. A placenta rupture caused Delilah to lose a lot of blood, requiring a blood transfusion. Doctors have also discovered that Delilah has a severe intraventricular hemorrhage (brain bleed).

Baby Delilah has a long road ahead of her, but God is able! It is unknown how long she will be in NICU. Money raised will be going to the Allende's to help with any bills that may arise during this time. Delilah's mom is an amazing homeschool mom, while her dad is the sole income provider for their family. FMLA ensures that he can take some time off; however, paid time off is very minimal.

We would love to bless this precious family with funds to cover bills and needs as they arise so that their primary focus can be on Delilah and their family. Above all else, please remember this precious family in your prayers!!

2/16/21 Update:

Eirynn is home, and baby Delilah is stable. During the c-section on 2/11, the placenta ruptured causing Eirynn and Delilah to both lose a lot of blood and was the cause of Delilah's severe intraventricular hemorrhage (brain bleed).  Delilah has had 3 blood and platelet transfusions since birth.  After delivery, doctors discovered that over 50% of the placenta stopped working at some point during pregnancy, accounting for her low birth weight despite being 35+ weeks gestation.  Delilah is currently 3lbs, breathing on her own, and handling her feedings well.

Eirynn's own words sums up this miracle perfectly:

"HOW is all this possible though???? How can it be that she is so strong?? How can people get through something so traumatic…?
One word.
GOD.
He is the God of POSSIBLE. He is our STRENGTH when we have none. He gives us peace to get through… HE is the only one who can. GOD is a healer. He is so good. I have seen God through this process more than I have in my entire life. He comes to the broken-hearted. He has met me where I needed Him."

Thank you to everyone who has donated and prayed for this precious family.  While we have reached our initial goal, we are bumping up the goal to help support the Allende family.  Expenses will add up quickly with the cost of traveling to and from the hospital, meals, medical expenses, bill, etc. The Allende family has a long road ahead of them, and funds will be going towards needs and bills as they arise during this difficult time.  Prayers above all else are still needed for the long road to healing and recovery that the Allende family has ahead of them.  God has already created their path.

2/20/22 Update:
The follow up cranial ultrasound revealed that Delilah's ventricles in her brain have grown, and a new, active bleed was discovered in her cerebellum.  Doctors do not know much right now as far as expectations for healing and prognosis, but we serve a God who already has all of those details planned out.  The fact that Delilah is here and doing as well as she is right now in itself is a miracle.  The family is asking for continued prayers.  Please pray specifically for complete and total healing of Delilah's brain.  Thank you to those who are faithfully praying for this family.  The prayers are felt, needed, and appreciated!

3/4/21 UPDATE

Little Delilah is growing!  She is now up to 4lbs.  Her medical team were finally able to figure out why her platelets continued to drop, resulting in the need for repeat transfusions.  When the placenta ruptured, Delilah's mother's antibodies were pushed into her and clung to her platelets, which caused her spleen to kill them off.  She was born with only 7 platelets. Thanks to the proper treatment, her platelet levels are now 235 and stable.

With that BIG praise report still comes a long road ahead of Delilah and her family.  Her little head continues to grow, and the medical team cannot determine exactly what is wrong until she can have an MRI.  Delilah has not been able to regulate her body temperature very well outside of an incubator and cannot have an MRI until she is able to regulate her temperate in an open crib.
The biggest prayer request right now is that she can begin regulating her body temperate on her own so that the MRI can take place as soon as possible.  After the MRI, her neurosurgeon will be able to determine what type of surgery will be best for Delilah.

Delilah has a very long road ahead of her still, but God is able!  The prayers and support for the Allende family are greatly appreciated!
