Support for Texas Family After Devastating Flood

My name is Heaven and I am trying to help raise funds for the flooding in Texas for my family who was affected. The timing couldn’t have been worse as my father who is the sole provider for my family was deported after being pulled over for a traffic stop a few days prior. My mother has been left with all the responsibility of maintaining and protecting the ranch. My family’s ranch is right next to the San Gabriel River which flooded. The river started overflowing into the property in the early hours of the morning which is why many other families couldn’t make it out in time. Luckily she lives on higher ground and did not affect the house. Unfortunately the river still damaged our property by taking down fences, bringing in lots of debris and killing some of our animals too. Once my mom realized how bad it was, she immediately started relocating all of my dad’s animals since my dad was not there. She knows how much they mean to him and did not think twice about prioritizing their safety over her own(which I wasn’t too happy about). Nonetheless, we are grateful the river did not reach the house but it definitely damaged a majority of the property. It’s gonna take a lot of time and money to repair our fences and help clean up all the debris the river brought in and I know she can’t do it all on her own. It would mean so much to us and help take some weight off my mom’s shoulders as she is the only one watching over our ranch.
