On the morning of December 8, I found my mother, Terry Fisher, after she had suffered a massive stroke. She was quickly airlifted to Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma, where doctors ran CT scans to assess her condition. Later that night, she was flown by helicopter to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Around midnight, Terry experienced severe swelling in her brain, and our family was faced with the heart-wrenching decision to have her undergo an emergency craniotomy. Since then, she has remained in the ICU at OU Medical Center, where she is being closely monitored by a dedicated team of doctors and nurses. She has been in the ICU since December 8 and will remain there for the foreseeable future as she continues to fight and recover.

Terry has many friends and family that love and care for her. Her happiest moments are when she is spending time with her four grandbabies. My mother is a woman who has never been selfish, often putting friends, family, and even strangers before herself. She has dedicated much of her life to helping others and has fought hard for thousands of throwaway animals, giving them a second chance at life. Her compassion and strength have touched so many lives, and now she needs our help more than ever.

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward travel expenses for our family, everyday bills, and the mounting medical costs that have come with her extended ICU stay and emergency surgeries.
