My mother, Terra Caraker Unexpectedly died at 55 years of age. She left behind 2 daughters and 3 grandsons (soon to be 5 grandsons). She loved nothing more than to dote on her family. Her grandbabies were her whole world and we can’t imagine this life without her. When she wasn’t working she was here. She spent so much of her time supporting us and loving on them. She meant so much to this family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her tremendous joy. My mom also had a passion for her job and over the past 20+ years as a respiratory therapist she had the opportunity to help and care for thousands of patients. If you knew her, I’m sure she tried to feed you whether you wanted it or not. She was a force to be reckoned with and this world is going to be a lot less interesting with out her. During this difficult time, we are working through the many responsibilities that come with settling her affairs. In a time of overwhelming grief, money should be the last thing I want to worry about. I don’t exactly know what mom would want, but I don’t think it would be a big to do. So in lieu of a funeral or memorial service, I think She’d want those she loved to be taken care of. She left behind a lot of loose ends that are going to take time and funds to tie up. She has so many people that cared about her and have been wanting to help. Any donations given are appreciated and will be used to cover her cremation costs, costs associated with handling her estate, taking care of the legal and logistical expenses involved in closing this chapter of her life , and all the ways we plan to honor her life and love. We are grateful for any support from friends, family, and the community. Your support—whether through a donation, sharing this page, or keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers—means more than we can express during this time.
