On April 25, 2025, at 5:44 pm, heaven gained another beautiful angel. At just 63 years old, Teresa “TATA” Acapulco Remollo began her eternal rest beyond this world. TATA was born on October 2, 1961, in Ozamis, Philippines. With love for all things beautiful, she grew up to be a beauty queen, a Miss Silliman during her teenage years at Silliman University College of Nursing, as Miss Medina, and has even graced the stage of Binibining Pilipinas. After college, she worked tirelessly to support the continuing education of her 10 siblings and then continued the support for their kids as well. She was a very generous soul who never hesitated to help someone in need.
She worked as a CCRN at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center for 34 accomplished years and before that at Makati Medical Center for 4 years. She was a CCU rockstar and her coworkers can attest to that. She retired early in 2020 when she was diagnosed with ESRD and needed hemodialysis to maintain her health. After she retired, she then found a love for cooking, to which her daughters were the firsthand taste samplers.
TATA’s house will now be a little less vibrant for our best friend Nicole Remollo and her sister Francesca “Chikki” Remollo. After Chikki’s college graduation and Nicole’s medical boards in Dumaguete, they flew back to their home in New Jersey. From then on, Nicole and Chikki solely focused on taking care of all her needs. For years, they immersed their energy and love into making sure their mother was happy, healthy, and strong.
We are coming together to knock on your kind hearts to support Nicole, Chikki, and their father Tony Remollo during this incredibly difficult time. The funds raised will all go towards the funeral expenses, memorial services, and helping ease the financial burden as they navigate life without their loving mother. Please support us in helping our cherished best friend focus on grieving and healing.
Thank you so much for all of your love and support. Thank you for keeping them in your thoughts and prayers.
In an effort to keep things transparent, we are including the statement of funeral services to show where exactly your thoughtful donations will be going.
