Support for Tej Puppala's (30 yr) Heart Transplant
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
My name is Dinesh Puppala and I am reaching out for donations / monetary support to save my 30yr old cousin brother, Taraka Ram Tej Puppala, who is currently on an emergency heart transplant list, in India and in a very time sensitive situation. My brother is a very cheerful and active person, as his friends and family know him. While we are heartbroken to share that heart transplant is the only way for him to continue his life, we are looking at all those kind hearts who can donate and support us during this difficult time. Heart transplants are never easy and always come with a financial burden, we are requesting funds for his surgery, continued hospital care for a minimum period of 6months. Unfortunately, sources of finance for his medical treatment are extremely limited, at this time. He is majorly dependent on your support through fundraising. Please help!
Tej, has a condition called Dilated cardiomyopathy with severe LV dysfunction and cardio embolic stroke, where his heart is now very enlarged and struggling to pump blood correctly. He lost his father, few years ago to the same condition, who was not diagnosed in the right time. Tej was an undergrad student at Dayton University, Ohio during that terrible time of his father's passing. Tej is currently on an expensive medicated infusion to stabilize him for 3 weeks from today, Dec 11th 2023 and will need a heart transplant asap within these 3 weeks, which is a very short time. The infusion costs $70 per day. Search for a cadaver heart is actively ongoing and might be available at any time. He is a universal recipient with AB+ blood group, so his doctors are very hopeful in finding a heart of him. According to his cardiologist, delay in the heart transplant will lead to further fatal complications of lung failure, which may need a lung transplant, if affected.
Upon transplant, Tej will need 11 days of hospital stay and close monitoring until 6months to avoid / tackle complications. Transplant pre-evaluation and surgery costs have been estimated by his cardiologist as $36,000. We would be using rest of the funds we raise through this campaign for his post op care medication and treatment.
I am responsible for this campaign and funds will be sent to our sister in India (Poojitha Puppala, who is taking care of him and the treatment in India) directly from my US account.
No contribution is too small or too big, every penny can help him at this time. Please consider and see if you have it in your hearts to contribute, to save his life. Please keep him in your prayers and share this along for a better outreach.
We will continue posting updates here on the progress, as and when we get them.
Thank you all in advance!
