I was the group leader for an EF tour to Germany, France, and Spain. One of my chaperones had his backpack stolen from him in Barcelona. Despite being careful, this theft occurred and he lost his iPad which he used to edit all the wonderful images from our trip, a pair of prescription glasses, his passport, some cash, and camera accessories.

As a teacher, we do these excursions to enrich the lives of our students and to enrich ourselves to bring back to the classroom. I want to help my colleague by raising money for him to replace the “stuff” that he lost. He handled the situation with amazing grace and was a wonderful role model to our students.
