Support for teacher Ada - Apoyo para maestra Ada

Hi everyone, my name is Lilian, and I have opened this support account for my loving mother in law Ada Rosina Gomez. My mother in law is now retired after having served 30+ years as a teacher in Dominican Republic. Anyone that knows her well can tell you she’s the most loving, caring and dedicated teacher, mother, sister and friend one can know.

Last Wednesday, March 1, while watering her plants, she accidentally tripped over her own foot causing her to fall on a concrete floor. From the fall she has fractured her right arm and broke and dislocated her hip bone leaving her immobile not being able to walk or use her right arm. Thankfully, her arm is in progress to recover but because she is an elderly woman the doctors have advised that her only option to walk again is a hip replacement surgery in which the hip joint will be replaced by a prosthetic implant then must be followed by physical therapy for about 3-6 months to help her walk again.

As you know, life and cost of living in our country, Dominican Republic, is rough and she cannot afford the costly surgery or therapy that will be required on her own with her retirement pay and she needs help. Her 4 children, are all hard working with families of their own and are now struggling with the financial burden this has caused upon all of them.

With this go fund me, I am asking with my heart and soul that if anyone can please help by supporting my husband’s family with slightest bit, to please help us. If there is a person that would give her life to safe someone else’s, that is who Ada is and she needs all the support possible right now so she can focus on her recovery and not financial struggle. It breaks my heart to imagine that after having lived and served our world with her noble heart, that she has to spend her years of retirement in pain a suffer. If you cannot support financially, I beg you to please support by keeping her in your prayers and sharing this post.

Hola a todos, mi nombre es Lilian y he abierto esta cuenta de apoyo para mi amada suegra Ada Rosina Gomez. Mi suegra ahora está jubilada después de haber trabajado más de 30 años como maestra en República Dominicana. Cualquiera que la conozca bien puede decirle que es la maestra, madre, hermana e amiga más amorosa, cariñosa y dedicada que uno puede conocer.

El pasado miércoles 1 de marzo, mientras regaba sus plantas, accidentalmente tropezó con su propio pie y cayó sobre un piso de concreto. A causa de la caída, se fracturó el brazo derecho y se rompió y dislocó el hueso de la cadera, dejándola inmóvil sin poder caminar ni usar el brazo derecho. Afortunadamente, su brazo está en proceso de recuperación, pero debido a que es una mujer mayor, los médicos le han aconsejado que su única opción para volver a caminar es una cirugía de reemplazo de cadera en la que la articulación de la cadera será reemplazada por un implante protésico y luego debe ser seguido por terapia física durante unos 3 a 6 meses para ayudarla a caminar de nuevo.

Como usted sabe, la vida y el costo de vida en nuestro país, República Dominicana, es difícil y ella no puede pagar la costosa cirugía o terapia que requerirá por su cuenta con su pago de jubilación y necesita ayuda. Sus 4 hijos, todos trabajan arduamente con sus propias familias y ahora están luchando con la carga financiera que esto les ha causado a todos.

Con este fondo, estoy pidiendo con mi corazón y alma que si alguien puede ayudar apoyando a la familia de mi esposo con lo más mínimo, que nos ayude. Si hay una persona que daría su vida para salvar la de otra persona, esa es Ada y necesita todo el apoyo posible en este momento para poder concentrarse en su recuperación y no en problemas financieros. Me rompe el corazón imaginar que después de haber vivido y servido a nuestro mundo con su corazón tan noble, que tenga que pasar sus años de retiro en dolor y sufrimiento. Si no puede apoyar económicamente, le ruego que por favor apoye manteniéndola en sus oraciones y compartiendo esta publicación.
