Hello everyone,

My neighbors and close friends, Taylor and Jacob, along with their three children, are facing an unimaginable loss after Hurricane Lala devastated their home—just one week before they are expecting to welcome their fourth child.

During the hurricane, a tree was uprooted and fell directly onto their home, completely destroying the two upstairs bedrooms. The storm also caused severe flooding throughout the house, leaving the home beyond repair. Tragically, they lost nearly all of their belongings that could not be saved.

Most importantly, we are incredibly grateful that Taylor, Jacob, and their children are safe and no one was injured. The bedrooms where they sleep crashed down.

However, they are now faced with the overwhelming task of starting over while simultaneously preparing to welcome a newborn in just days.

We are asking for any amount you may be able to give to help this family replace some of their immediate necessities, including clothing, baby supplies, toiletries, household essentials, and other items they need while they find a safe place to settle.

All donations will go toward helping Taylor, Jacob, their three children, and their soon-to-arrive baby get back on their feet and replace the necessities they lost.

Update:

We recently learned that Taylor and Jacob’s insurance is liability-only and unfortunately will not cover any of the personal belongings they lost in the hurricane. Because nearly everything inside the home was damaged or destroyed by the flooding, they are now facing the unexpected cost of replacing their family’s belongings entirely out of pocket. With three children and a new baby arriving in just days, we have decided to increase our fundraising goal to better reflect what they will need to start over. We are incredibly grateful for every donation, share, and kind word of support their family has received. All donations will be directly deposited into their bank account❤️
