If you've ever met Tanya, you know this instantly—she is one of the most positive, kind, and loving people you could ever come across. I met Tanya in 2019, early in my real estate career, when I had the honor of helping her buy her first home. At that time, she had just finished school, earned her degree, bought her own car, and was finally stepping into a life she had built entirely on her own—despite a past filled with unimaginable hardship. Tanya didn't just survive—she pushed forward. She worked hard, became a Director of Environmental Services at Hazel Hawkins, saved diligently, and achieved her dream of homeownership. It was such a proud and meaningful moment.

Shortly after buying her home, Tanya received her first cancer diagnosis. From that point on, her life became a fight. Between chemotherapy, surgeries, and ongoing treatment, she faced long absences from work and was eventually let go. Still, she kept going. In 2024, needing to be closer to her specialists at UCSF, Stanford, and across the Peninsula, she made the difficult decision to sell her home and relocate. She worked at Chinese Hospital in San Francisco through her cancer until she couldn't any longer—but as her condition worsened, she was recently re-diagnosed and forced to stop working due to complications from her cancer and surgeries.

Today, Tanya is battling not just one, but two cancers: the one she previously fought—marginal lymphoma and DCBL—and now stage 4 metastatic large B cell lymphoma. She requires palliative care and is living off limited savings and disability, but those resources are not enough—and they will not last. The hardest part? Tanya has no support system. No immediate family. No one to help care for her during this incredibly difficult time. And yet, if you know Tanya, you know she is still the same person—strong, gracious, and full of love. She is the kind of person who leaves a lasting impact on everyone she meets. Even beyond our professional relationship, she became a friend. I found myself driving her to and from surgeries because that's just the kind of person she is—you want to show up for her. Now, she needs us.

I am asking our community—the same community Tanya poured her heart into—to come together and support her. Any donation makes a difference. These funds will go toward her living expenses, medical care, and helping provide stability so she can focus on what matters most: her health and her peace. If you're unable to donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping Tanya in your thoughts and prayers. Let's show her that she is not alone.
