On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 3:37 PM, our beloved Tanya Fernandez was in a catastrophic accident, sustaining a severe and irreversible brain injury, leaving her in a vegetative state.

Those who were blessed to know her, knew Tanya was more than a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was the heart of every room she walked into. She was the kind of person that lit up every gathering, the one who made everyone laugh, and the first one to show up for someone in need. Tanya's kindness, generosity, and vibrant spirit have touched so many lives.

During the time of her accident, Tanya was seven months pregnant, and fortunately, her baby was successfully delivered via emergency C-section. He is currently in the NICU, where he will remain until he's strong enough to come home. Tanya also leaves behind her eight-year-old son, Sebastian, who could always be found glued to his mother's side. The family is asking for support while they transition into life without Tanya's contagious laughter and uplifting nature.
