My name is Melissa Sparber.

I am raising funds for a small family service for my sister Tammy Goolsby (pictured at left).

She passed unexpectedly at my parents' home yesterday (Mother's Day) and the family is not prepared for the expense.

The cremation alone ($1,500) allows 5 family members to visit.

*correction: there was some misunderstanding: direct cremation is actually $800. And they have made concession to allow 7 people for the ID viewing which will accommodate our desire.

If we pay for an additional family viewing, then all of us who wish to gather to say goodbye could, and it would cost a total of $4,000 (that includes the cremation).

If you can contribute anything it would be helpful. We don't have a time scheduled yet as we are seeing if we can get the funds together. The family appreciates your prayers at this time.

We were unable to get close to the $4k goal and needed to make a decision by 10:30 a.m. today(Tuesday May 14th) so we have decided to go with direct cremation. We will apply the additional funds generated by your contributions coupled with our own toward the urn, keepsakes, and a personally organized family memorial.
