My mother has overcome so much in her life, including surviving lung cancer, which left her with only half a lung. Now, she is facing some of her toughest battles yet. She is currently fighting kidney disease, heart disease, and COPD. Just a few months ago, she began dialysis, and now she is hospitalized due to a staph infection from her catheter. This infection has led to her being placed on a ventilator, and she is fighting for her life every single day. Watching her go through all of this has been incredibly hard, but I am inspired by her strength and resilience.

She is not only my mother but also a loving grandmother to my daughter. Tomorrow, she is scheduled for surgery to have a trachea placed in her throat because she has been on a ventilator for so long. The doctors have given her a very small chance of survival, but I am holding onto hope and faith that God will hear my prayers and get us through this. As her daughter, I am doing everything I can to support her, but the financial challenges are overwhelming. The medical bills are piling up, and soon she will need to move into an assisted living facility that can provide the specialized care she needs. I also want to be prepared to give my mother a proper burial if God calls his angel home. These costs are more than I can manage alone, and that’s why I am reaching out for help.
