Our hearts are shattered as we watch our daughter, Sydney, and her boyfriend, Tyler, face a tragedy no young family should ever have to experience. Just weeks before welcoming their beautiful baby girl, Ellie, who is due on September 26, they lost their home and everything they owned in the Old Trails wildfire.

In a matter of moments, the life they had worked so hard to build was gone. The nursery they had been dreaming about, the baby clothes and supplies they had carefully collected, their furniture, clothing, family keepsakes, and the home where they planned to bring Ellie home for the very first time were all destroyed.

Instead of spending these last precious weeks preparing for their daughter's arrival, Sydney and Tyler are now trying to find a safe place to live and figure out how to rebuild their lives from nothing. No expecting parents should have to carry this kind of heartbreak while anticipating the birth of their first child.
