My sister Rose Marie "Suzy" is a mother, sister, cousin, aunt, niece, and friend to many. She was recently diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of bladder cancer and has been bravely undergoing chemotherapy and immunotherapy in hopes of stopping the cancer from spreading. Despite her strength and determination, the treatments have not been enough, and she now faces the difficult reality of needing an intensive 7-hour surgery that includes removing her bladder and several nearby organs and reconstructing a new bladder. This news has been devastating for Suzy and for everyone who loves her.
Suzy is known for always laughing, smiling, and just being fun—she has a special gift for making everyone around her laugh and smile, even in the toughest times. Her joyful spirit has touched so many lives, and it's heartbreaking to see her facing such uncertainty now.
As she prepares for this major surgery and the long recovery ahead, Suzy is unable to work and is worried about how she will manage her bills, rent, and daily living expenses. The costs of traveling for treatment, recovery care, and simply keeping her home have become overwhelming. Our family is doing everything we can to support her, but we need help to make sure she can focus on healing without the added stress of financial hardship.
Suzy is very frightened and worried about her future. Your help would mean the world to us. Any amount will help. We can't express how grateful we would be and how much this would ease her stress and help her recovery. Thank you for considering supporting her during this incredibly difficult time.
